I studied Sociology and Criminal Justice in college and I was initially drawn to higher education and or the CJ system as a place to find my professional growth. I realized through internships and my first jobs that a better space was the business world; specifically Human Resources. I've enjoyed building out my HR expertise in Benefits, Payroll, Work Visas, recruiting, process improvement, policy creation and Talent Development. The majority of my recent experience has been focused on Talent Attraction as an individual contributor and as a leader. I have been a part of larger, more regulated organizations and have segued into smaller, start-up companies. I prefer the latter as these organizations are less siloed and allow me the opportunity to try new things and be a part of various projects. 2023 has been an interesting year for the tech industry and I have not been immune. I've been laid off twice this year, which is not ideal, but I am looking to move forward and focus on my next adventure.
Since I have extensive experience in the recruiting space, it makes sense that I continue to contribute my expertise and grow my technical recruiting capabilities I would love to continue to grow my talent management, employee relations and business partnership skills I am excited to contribute my broad HR background and experiences to a team that is open to fresh perspectives and wants to allow me to continue to grow.
